FEMINIST CULTURE HOUSE
Windows of Tolerance
Welcome to a conversation with Katie and Paola from Feminist Culture House. Let’s gather and think together about collaborative practices in the cultural field. What happens when there is no budget? How can we recognise and value different types of labour? How can we conduct rewarding collaborations that also explore the idea of alternative currencies?
During the conversation we will also share excerpts from our publication Windows of Tolerance: Tools for Ideal Collaborations in an Unideal World, and invite participants to imagine more sustainable and long-term ways of distributing resources, and to prioritise collective well-being over individual comfort.
Let’s come together and worldbuild a cultural field upheld by intersectional feminist working practices. Everyone is welcome to join us :)

animated and live mixed VJ visuals to the music suggested by the
participants of the workshop.
Kiila’s Skillshare Sessions are a series of peer-led workshops focused on sharing skills, tools, and creative approaches. They are organised by Kiila ry, Finland’s oldest continuously active, non-aligned leftist writers’ and artists’ association, founded in 1936 as a counterforce to fascism and right-wing censorship.

Commoning Private Space: An Interview with Sandi Hilal
The event will begin with a brief introduction by Vidha Saumya, co-founder and co-editor of NO-NIIN, who will speak on the theme of 'Why Publishing Has to Be an Uneasy Space', before sharing a few words about Sandi Hilal’s interview.
We will then continue with a collective reading of “Commoning Private Space: An Interview with Sandi Hilal”, with space to pause and share thoughts and comments as they emerge. The session invites collective reflection on hospitality as a political act, the transformation of private space into a commons, and practices of agency, self-determination, and solidarity beyond institutional frameworks.
Coffee and snacks will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring something to drink or eat to share. This is a relaxed, low-threshold gathering, offering time to listen, exchange, and think together about how we can support our practices and each other moving into 2026.
